Heart of Scotland – 2025 retreat
An experiential journey for the heart and soul
The Heart of Scotland retreat will take place from June 13th to 20th, 2025. Our home for the week will be the elegant Dalvay House, located a short distance from the town of Forres. Dalvey House was built in 1798 and has been owned by the MacLeod family since then. The house stands on a large private plot and is surrounded by beautiful gardens full of life. We have the house to ourselves, and the food is provided by a private chef who pampers us daily. We emphasize clean ingredients and a healthy diet where special needs are considered as much as possible, and meat consumption is minimal.
From Dalvay House, we go on longer and shorter journeys where countless adventures and experiences await us.
DOES YOUR HEART CALL FOR SCOTLAND?
13th of June – Day 1 – Traveling to Forres
The group meets in Stirling. We depart at 14:00 and head straight to the Highlands. Our first stop is a beautiful heathland, where we will connect energetically with the Heart of Scotland to mark our arrival. From there, we will drive to Dalvay House (near Forres), our home, for the next seven days.
14th of June – Day 2 – Travelling within at Dalvay House
We will spend our day in and around Dalvay House, connecting, meditating, examining our connections with Scotland, and setting intentions for the days ahead. Our in-house chef will serve all meals.
15th of June– Day 3 – Clava Cairn and Cawdor Castle: Where the past and present meet
We start our day with a visit to the Clava Cairn stone circle and tombs, where we connect and do energy work. From Clava Cairn, we head to Cawdor Castle, where we start with a delicious lunch. After lunch, we get a guided tour where we explore the castle, and afterwards, we meditate and enjoy the beautiful castle gardens. After our visit, we head back home and spend our evening at Dalvay House.
16th of June– Day 4 – Findhorn Eco Village and a ceremony with a Scottish shaman
This day will be spent in Findhorn Eco Village, starting with a guided tour. After our tour, we will meditate in the Nature Sanctuary before heading to Phoenix Café for lunch. After lunch, we meet with Karen Grant, our Scottish shaman, who will lead us through a ceremony, allowing us to go deep within. After our visit, we head back to Dalvay House.
17th of June – Day 5 – Loch Ness, Loch Tarff and Fort Augustus: Visiting the world of Nessie
We spend our morning by Loch Ness, meditating and connecting with our friend Nessie and the other magical elementals of the loch. After lunch, we move on to Loch Tarff, where we continue meditating and connecting with nature, the elementals and ourselves. From Loch Tarff, we head to the picturesque Fort Augustus, where we will get some free time to walk around the village and visit its many cafés and souvenir shops. Afterwards, we head back home to spend a lovely evening at Dalvay House.
18th of June – Day 6 – Connecting with herbs: Foraging and ointment-making
After our morning meditation, our official schedule starts at 13:00, and we enjoy a visit from Lauren Lochrie from Herbal Homestead. Lauren will take us through the gardens, where we will uniquely connect with the herbs and flowers and pick some for tea and cream. After a beautiful day in the gardens, we will enjoy dinner in a nearby restaurant.
19th of June – Day 7 – Corrymony Cairns and Glen Affric: The ancient forrest
First on the day’s agenda is a visit to Corrimony Cairns stone circle and tomb, where we will meditate and do energy work. From there, we drive deep into Glen Affric, a beautiful nature reserve, where we will spend the rest of the day connecting to different energies. After a nourishing day, we head back home to Dalvey House for our final dinner.
20th of June – Return to Stirling
We rise early and board the bus for our trip back to Stirling, where we will be around noon. The departure will be on time so that those who choose to catch a return flight with Icelandair on the same day can do so.
